Taurine

is an Amino Sulfonic Acid, but it is often referred to as an Amino Acid. It occurs in large amounts in the brain, retina, heart, and platelets. Supplementation with Taurine provides a number of performance related benefits including increases in strength, fat oxidation during exercise, VO2max, exercise time to exhaustion and maximal workload, and a reduction in exercise induced muscle damage and oxidative stress. It also helps to neutralise several of the side effects of caffeine use experienced by some individuals.
