Black pepper (95% Piperine)

Piperine is an active compound found in black pepper. It has a long history of use in traditional medicine, where its primary role is to enhance the bioavailability of other compounds, allowing them to be more easily absorbed by the body, thereby maximising their beneficial effects. It achieves this via several mechanisms, including inhibiting enzymes involved in compound metabolism, which enables them to remain in the bloodstream for longer, enhancing solubility and increasing blood flow in the gastrointestinal tract. In addition to enhancing nutrient absorption, Piperine has been shown to reduce the formation of fat, improve digestion, and insulin sensitivity, enhance brain health and immune function, boost metabolism and provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
