L-Phenylalanine

L-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that plays an important role in the structure and function of proteins and enzymes and the production of other amino acids. It is also a precursor for various neurotransmitters such as dopamine, and the catecholamines epinephrine, and norepinephrine. These are neurotransmitters that act as adrenalin-like substances.
